Almost all computers come out Microsoft Vista now. I'm still using Windows XP and it's not recommended to buy computer with Vista when it's first being released. I believe that I will only switch to Microsoft Vista with my new computer - I don't think my current hardware specifications meets the Vista requirements. Even if meet the minimum requirements, it may run very slow. I intend to buy a computer, probably laptop. Are you using Microsoft Vista ? Is it stable? Would like to find out if it's recommended to get this Vista now.

I'm sorry but what do you mean by "too much protector"? Is that too much security? Who are "they" that stated not to use Vista? I also often heard of the issue of stability but would like to find out more details according to real user experiences. Thanks for your input - I have one "NO" in my "Vista Selection List".

Appreciated for your clarification. Just wondering: your Internet Explorer security issue will only be solved after disk formatting. Perhaps, there's workaround but the documentation for Windows Vista or people's experiences in Vista are not that adequate for the time being. More and more patch will be released. In short, still not stable.

Soryy for my not detail information... I have friend work as IT Manager in my place, He said that the The Windows presenter ( I don't know who ) was send him a letter to do not use Vista anymore....One of the cause is Vista had too much security. And it happened to me. Until now i don't have a solution to enable my Internet explorer cause by vista internet security. I had find a forum... The last way to fix it's is format my hard disk...........That is best solution.....

This really sucks - it happened to Windows XP when it's first released too. Microsoft make our lives complicated. After a certain of time, more and more application will support Vista but not XP. It forces users to install Vista. When we get use to it, then will come another new release. I'll stay with Windows XP now.

i would not reccomend vista it still has a few teawks to sort out and also the software may not be compatible for vista so may not work on vista and also it take up 8 gb of harddrive just for having vista. i think vista is just for its look. if u want vista look you can download a theme for xp so it looks like vista.

Windows Vista encourages users to buy higher specifications computers. Thanks for your recommendation, usyda1. For the time being, (except for the look of Vista which is not important to me) I don't have any reason to select Vista.

I definitely would not recommend upgrading to Vista on your current computer. It's more like a downgrade because it runs so much slower. You're far better off staying with XP now and waiting for Vista until you buy a computer with it installed.

Yes, that's what I am planning for. I'll stay with Windows XP for the time being. Appreciate for your valuable recommendation. I have no idea if you will go back to this discussion anymore but are you using Vista now?
