i am unable to download pics from my cellphone to my computer

is it due to some problem on my connecting cable or is it due to some softwae error, i was downlaoding pictures withouit any problem till last week, or may be it could be the usb

Try to do the following:
1. test your connecting cable using other cellphone
2. test your connecting cable with your own cellphone to other pc
3. try using other USB port
4. try re-installing the software that you are using
5. run an updated anti-virus and antispyware softwares
