I wrote a story a little while ago about a standoff, and wanted to see what everyone thought of it. What do you think of it? © somecowgirl ALL RIGHTS RESERVED The Two Lone Figures Stood At An Even Distance. The Man On The Left Side Stood Defiant, His Guns Raised And His Face In A Scowl. He Was Determined To Win This Feud And Regain His Pride And Prized Possession. The Man On The Right Stood Equally As Defiant, With His Eyes Wide And Ready For Any Attack. No Gun Was Raised Nor Was Any Resting His Holster. He Was A Man Who Believed That A Fight Worth Winning Was One Not Evenly Matched. He Was Determined And Knowledgeable. He Knew That He Would Come Out Scathed, But Also Come Out Of The Battle A Winner."Who Shall Step Forth, Rodgers?" The Man Kept His Distance, His Guns Raised And His Trigger Finger Ready. "shall I Come Forth And Hit Ye With Me Pistol, Or Shall You Come Unarmed And Unmatched?" The Man With No Weaponry Stood Solitaire, Determined To Not Move Unless His Opponent Lashed. "scoundrels Got Your Tongue, Lad?" The Armed Man Was Of Mixed Ancestry, Scottish And German Alike. "i Shall Knock Ye Teeth Out With Me Here Gun, 'fore Ye Even Have A Chance To Blink". With That The Match Had Begun."The Only One To Be Wounded In This Face Off, Dear Lad Will Be You" The Man Mocked As He Ran Forth Attacking The Man's Pride Before Lashing Out And Knocking One Gun Away With A Single Kick. "you May Have The Weaponry, Scotsman, But I Have The Agility." As He Said This He Lashed Out Once More, This Time With His Fist, Knocking The Man Back And Causing His Grip On The Gun To Loosen."Give Me Your Best Shot" The Now Wounded Man Said As He Regained Composure And Stood Awaiting Another Blow. His Opponent Only Snickered And Withdrew Two Steps To Give His Opponent Breathing Room. "Is It A Fist Fight Ye Want Rodgers?" At This, He Dropped The Remaining Gun Watching Briefly As Dust Arose From The Impact. "then It's A Fist Fight Ye Shall Get." His Fist Rose At Face Level, Leaving His Stomach Vulnerable. "Didn't Your Dad Ever Teach You, Boy." His Opponent Chuckled. "never Leave Your Belly Vulnerable." With One Swift Kick, The Man Knocked His Opponent Down And Stood Above Him. "give Up, Scotsman, You Are No Match For The Likes Of Me. I Shall Be Taking My Money's Worth Now." With That The Man Gave One Last Look At The Fallen Opponent And Turned Walking To His Horse Before Mounting And Riding Off In The Sunset His Newly Won Bride In The Saddle Behind Him.
