Associated Content Rules

I'm thinking about joining Associated Content and submitting some articles, but I'm absolutely lost in the fine print of the contract. I understand that AC has the right to reproduce, alter/etc. my article and use it at its discretion, which I'm a little iffy about, but I think I can live with that. I understand that I can submit articles that were written before I joined AC. What I can't find is if they allow me to publish an article in AC that has already been published on another site. Does anyone with AC have any insight in this matter? I've poured over the contract, terms of use, privacy policy til I'm crosseyed and if I've found anything pertaining to that particular event, it just didn't soak into my dense brain. Any help would be appreciated.

I think Ac will not allow you to republish articles already published, that would be rules violation-sometimes, they will even inform you that this articles is already published and ask you to try another one!
