charity begins at home?

what i understand with this phrase is first help the needy one whom u have it home , in ur relatives, among ur friends, around u. even i always believe this phase n i also do it n follow it.i always try to help the people in my family or my relatives wheather its physically or financially. i always believe that if u r welloff god has gifted u everything then try to help other people in ur family or in ur surroundings to help them to bring them up. dont u thing my friend we have to do this?

To me, this phrase means that, before I worry about the welfare of everyone else, I should take a look at the welfare of my family and make sure that they are also getting the attention, compassion and caring that I would offer to others.
