We usually discuss only books in this area, but I've been getting a magazine I love. My husband also loves it, and friends to whom we gave gift subscriptions love it. It's "The Week," and it sort of gets a place amond the news magazines we read all the time, like Time", "Newsweek", or USNews and World Report. It's somewhat softer, thoug, and I think it presents issues with somewhat less bias in any direction that those. Try it!
