Hi all Are you somebody who would stick to their opinion even if everyone was against you ? :D Or would you agree to the other opinion if you think you can't make it with your opinion ? I would stick to my opinion untill you can prove I am wrong :D Thx

The only way I will change an opinion is to receive additional information that proves me wrong. Just because someone may think or say I am wrong isn't enough. I'm not one to adjust anything "just to fit in". I don't believe in it.

Personally I think people who will change their minds based on what the majority says are a bit "wishy-washy" and maybe a bit weak. Or maybe they just don't have any opinions of their own. I believe in checking out the facts before forming an opinion and making sure of what I believe in. I think too many people form opinions based on what they hear other people say about something. For instance, a movie that has just come out. Someone asks others what they think about it after they saw it...but this person has never seen it yet. Based on the majority of the answers to the question of how they liked the movie, this person forms an opinion of the movie even though they never went to see it themselves. That is an example of how I think too many people decide things these days. It is the same way in the political arena. Whatever the media is saying, the person believes, and doesn't even bother to check it all out for themselves. In churches and religious groups it is the same....whoever is the leader speaks and people believe without checking things out themselves. The Bible is there to be read by each person interested...but people will believe it says things that it doesn't say based on what someone else says. These are just examples. People will change their minds and opinions based on whichever way the daily wind is blowing. For me, I tend to check things out...to dig deeply into things to find out what I believe. I don't go by anything other people say although I do listen to them. I have to find out for myself about just about everything. Sometimes I find they were right and other times I find they were wrong...and most times, it is just personal taste anyway. I think it is a shame when people won't take the time to get the facts and form their own opinion based on their own experiences and information. For the other part of the question, once I have an opinion, it takes a lot to change it. Because I have spent so much time digging to find what I feel is the truth about something, to change that would take a lot of work on the part of the other person to show me that I missed something. If, indeed, I did miss something, then I will rework the whole thing and see how that changes or doesn't change my opinion. I think it is very important for people to stand for what they believe and not be swayed by the majority, even if the majority are against them. Sometimes that is hard, and sometimes very lonely. But it can be well worth it in the end. However, at the same time, I do not believe in publicizing my opinions if it is not beneficial to others to do so. And I do not believe in forcing my opinion on other people. If they ask, I answer. If not, I pretty much keep it to myself. If I think it is of benefit to the other person, I might speak up...if they don't want to hear it, I stop. Sorry for the long response, but that was a good, and deep question.
