I took this photograph of two snails "kissing" on my washing line the other week! i thought it was so sweet! do you think animals have families and friends like we do? i know that there are some animals who do and we have researched them and others that perhaps don't have the mental capacity, but sometimes, when i see things like this i think perhaps we've underestimated them and wonder what goes on in their little worlds!!! hehe

This is a very wonderful photograph. Yes I do think that animals do have ways of socialising in their own way that is. I see my dogs play with the other dogs or with his mommy dog. I have also seen how the ants in the garden help each other with gathering food. Back in grade school I learned that ants are in some ways almost like humans. They work together as a team to do work or to go to war with another colony. A kind of Red ants have also been known to capture white insects called aphids. In the colony they feed them and shroke their tummies and the aphids extract a sweet juice. Isn't that just like taking care of a cow and milking it in the farm? There are also some types of ants who take the babies of their enemy colonies, take them back to their colony feed them and train them and make them work for them when they grow up. cheers! happy myLotting!

It's my pleasure munchkin547, I'm always glad to share what I learned. Yes like in the ants colony in their own little world a lot of things goes on. Even if we assume the ants do not have the capacity of thinking like us. They may have a way to do it in their little society. I think they have their own way to communicate. Great discussion. I love it hun. Keep it up. Cheerios!!!

That's a nice photograph and you are right, real cute!! I definitely think that animals have a hidden intelligence that we unaware of. Now, if you had taken a photo of two spiders getting close then I would have panicked and left this discussion without delay!! I guess when it relates to courting, animals don't think so much, they just get on with it! Good on them. Have you seen those snails since?!! Andrew

Hi! thanks for the friend request! Aww the pigeons sound cute, i like birds! i know that meerkats stay in families with mothers, fathers brothers and sisters like we do and i'm sure there's a few other sorts of animals that do! I think you're right if people behaved more like some animals in that respect we might be alot happier!! Happy mylotting! xx
