You are not suppose to know everything . Government is called so because they only allow you to know what they want you to know. that is why they get away with many things.

Hey sisco, how are you? Great question...Yes, I do believe that the government holds quite a bit from us. A perfect example would be "Area 51" located in Nevada. On some levels, I do think we have a right to know but on the other hand, you have to take into consideration of what would happen if they broad casted to everyone and it got into the wrong hands.

i think they are hiding a lot.. but im not sure it could be like aliens or anything.. just that they have better technology than they say or know more about the state of the environment.. of course some political power organizations trying to take over countries etc.. i think we have the right to know.. i hate being in the dark on anything

All governments hide thongs from the public. They always have. Do you have the right to know, sure, maybe not in every country according to the laws they have. In a communist country the people don't have many rights at all. Should you know? I don't think we need to know everything. You don't tell your kids all of your secrets do you? Sometimes there is a fine line between what you have the right to know and what you need to know. For example, in WWI and WWII if the American government would have told the public the truth about how bad the war was or how poorly we did on certain days the general public would never have banded together and sacrificed the way it did. We probably would have lost the war if people back in the states wouldn't have been so supportive. There are times when people need to do what people need to do and if you have to tell everyone and get their approval first the opportunity may be missed. With that said, many politicians take this too far and hide a lot of the dirt and scandals and payoffs that we not only have the right to know about but shouldn't be done anyway.
