This is explained by Wikipedia as the desire of a child (usually 3-5 yrs old)for his mother and the desire for the death of his father, and vice versa for female children. This is usually manifested in very young children. This is based on the Greek legend of King Oedipus who killed his father and married his mother. He did everything to avoid the oracle's decree but in the end, it was fulfilled. According to psychologists, this Oedipus complex is a part of the psychosexual development of a child. Several researches were done to prove the validity of the theory. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think that this complex is true? Do you have any experience that proves or disproves this theory?

well if you'll gonna ask me it is true in which a son desire to compete for the attention of the mother against it father, there is nothing to fear of because it normal the child is trying to identify its own identity by imitating it father and competing on it.....the counter part of it is electra complex, you will understand it better if you will study medicine, nursing and psychology......thats all i can say my friend.....keep safe and GODBLESS......
