Our cat, the mouse!

Our cat likes to sit beside me while I use our laptop. The mouse on the keyboard of the laptop does not work that well at all, so we use another mouse we bought from the store. Our Cat Missy, likes to sit beside it and lay her head against my hand which is on the mouse. Sometimes, she will move the mouse if she moves, so on those times I often think "Oh crap the mouse is broken" but it's just Missy. At other times, she will have laid so close to the mouse that when I go to use it again, I put my hand on her head, instead of on the mouse.
Anyone else have a cat that likes to pretend to be a mouse? My fiance says she's just plotting against the mouse.
Anyone have any other crazy cat and computer stories?

Yeah Missy likes to sit beside you and bug you for attention,and it is kind of funny how she likes to pretend to be the mouse,and on a couple occasions she has either tried or succeeded in knocking the mouse off,and she might be trying to pretend to be the mouse,I do think she is just plotting against the mouse because she does not like the mouse being there,I love you.

Yep she is the only one that knows if she is plotting against the mouse or not,and I always enjoy responding to your discussions baby,because you do some really good discussions,I love you with all my heart and soul,have a great day,good luck in achieving all your goals on mylot,and Happy Posting.

My 7 month old kitty Jazzy is always getting up on my lap and attacking the cursor on the screen she runs across the keyboard as the is doing this and types a whole bunch of weird things then she bats at the little arrow it is so funny.

Aw, that sounds precious. Do you use a laptop? I ask this because you say she gets on you rlap, and then you said that she types on the keyboard. She sounds precious though! What kind of cat is she? I hope you have a wonderful and lovely dya.

Ah but this is only a electronic mouse for computers, therefore, I do not see where she is being friendly. To my fiance and I it appears she is being competitious. I appreciate your response and Have a wonderful and lovely day.

That is funny. My cat will lay on top of the cord that goes to the mouse but that is it. He will also get on top of the computer desk and lay behind the keyboard and just lay there forever. It kind of looks funny because it is a small space and he is so big. I have tried to get him down from there because sometimes I am afraid he will fall behind and mess up all the cords or hurt himself but he is stubborn, he doesn't want to listen to me. Or he will walk across the keyboard and the computer desk really fast, I think he does that because I make him get down sometimes so he thinks "I will walk across really fast so she can't make me get down".

Missy likes to step on the laptop, most of the time when my hands are not on the keys, luckily, but sometimes she does. I used to live with a friend who had seven cats and there was one that liked to sit on the computer monitor, CPU or the printer. Then there was one that would sit on my lap while I typed. That's not as bad as sitting on the keyboard. The cat that liked to sit in your lap also liked to "type". I know what you mean about the cords though because most of the time there's jumbled up enough as it is! We have a small computer desk, one that has a tray for the keyboard, to be honest it looks like a side table + keyboard tray. Cats can be so stubborn. There's a saying, I don't know if you heard it but it's written on the walls of our local vet and it goes as such "Dogs Have Masters. Cat's Have Staff. Dogs come when their called, cats take a message and get back to you" I've also read it here on the internet. Phew, a long winded comment! That is so cute, actually my cat Alexia likes to do the same thing and also she'll sit there and watch me type on the computer and then when I leave she comes up and starts typing on the computer. Lol, she hasn't typed any words but she loves to type on my keyboard.

I used to live with people who had a cat that would sit on my lap and sometimes try to "type" things. They are very cute animals. Our is a tabby, and she has expressions that you swore could singe ya if she could only express them in words! I hope you Have a wonderful and lovely day.
