don't seem to come in. I got to the www. they advertise and no music. Am I doing something wrong? We have a sound card in our computer and my speakers are turned on, what else could it be? Do you listen to music on the internet? What kind? How often? If you don't, is it because you have other things to do here or just don't like it as well as your stereo or some other reason? Thanks and take care.

First of all, I don't get the site where you went to listen to and didn't get a welcome feeling. "www" means what? Anyways, the best place to listen to music on the internet is - www.last.fm/. It's an online radio station streaming music of your choice. You could sign up for a free account and listen as much as you want in here. Enjoy anyway.

www.wiry.com www. meant that I used a www. address as in world wide web. There are others like http, etc. It's not that I didn't get a welcome, it's that I didn't get any music. It's our local station and I also wanted to hear the weather, news, etc. I can't get it by airwaves because even though it's local, it doesn't go very far, it stops one town before me. So I figured I could get it by the internet even if I couldn't get it on my radio. But no sound there either.

That is extremely possible, now you're talking. Yes, WIRY is AM. So you can hear it? Must be nice. I have 2 ways I can't hear it. Take care and thanks, that's a help.

I usually don't listen to music on the internet, unless I am shopping for music for my iPod, which is hardly ever. I am not sure what to tell you about why you can't get the music. It's my understanding that going to any radio station's online web address allows you to listen to their station, but I've actually not tried this. I hear the radio stations talking about it all the time. I usually have the TV on in the background when I'm on the internet, so I wouldn't be listening to music then.

I think the best response above answered my question, I don't think my computer is set up correctly to get the radio station. I can't get a local station that has my friend's show on it and local news. I can get Vermont in here, but not Plattsburgh, NY. Go figure, so I was trying by computer, didn't work that way either. Thanks and take care.

I don't listen to music when I'm on the computer unless it's on the radio across this room. I prefer to have television on or listen to my scanner. Today I am tuned into the Olympics and listening to what is going to happen today. I'm a huge news watcher so anytime I can get local news on tv, that's where I am. I know others do listen to music on their computers but don't know how it's setup. Once in awhile I'll listen to a cd but not while I am trying to post discussions or respond on myLot. You should be able to put in the web address for a radio station and listen to it on your computer. Have no idea if there is a download involved.

Interesting, it didn't say anything about a download when I went there. That's a thought though. Thanks and take care.

I just don't find music that great. I would rather have the tv on with some show that i can listen to - but this week i've been listening to the hum of the tv (somethings wrong with it and I can't get to it yet to fix it) so its like listening to the ringing in my ears

Unless there's a show I really want to look at, I've always done something else while the tv is on crafty wise. The only thing I can't do is read, because they seem to take the same part of the brain - listen to the tv and reading.

That's too bad about your TV being on the fritz. I like music better than TV. Television demands all of your attention; whereas, radio you can listen to music and do something else. To each their own. Take care
