I usually eat quickly and eat a lot. I believe it is a signal of health. It show I have a good apetite. But almost all the science articles suggest that we should eat slowly. I wonder if it applies to all. Whatever I am always in good health and I am enjoy the feeling of quick eating and full. What about you, do you eat slowly or quickly?

I prefer to eat more slowly and savour the taste. Sometimes (especially when I'm at work) I have to eat quicker and it makes me uncomfortable. I hate to spend hours preparing/cooking a meal and then see someone gannet it in 2 or 3 minutes... so I dont really enjoy cooking anymore and go for quick and easy.

I usually eat quickly because at my job I only get a half hour lunch so unfortunately I have to scarf down my food.....ugh. ANd I notice I do this outside of work too...kinda embarrassing for a woman to eat that fast. ANd it is not healthy at all to eat fast and a lot. They suggest you eat slow in order to notice when you feel full. If you eat fast you are packing in a lot of food without giving your brain enough time to say HEY, slow down. ANd then your stomach expands and you have to keep filling it...and on and on that way. I have battled with weight problems since I was a teen and have found it to be true that if you eat slowly and stop when you feel full you can still eat whatever you want and not gain excessive weight. I have changed my eating habits this wya for the most part and have kept off 30 pounds for the last 7 years..still eating my fast foods and ice creams, etc. And trust me I know about loving food....I was an emotional eater, and angry eater, etc. I have always said it was my best relationship (with food) and my most abusive relationship. ANd you would not believe how many Big Macs I could pack away...makes me sick to think of it now. I still love it but i repsect it now. Have a great day.

I eat slowly, trying to savor each bite. The food tastes better that way, to me, since the meal lasts longer. Besides that, I become satiated but never full to the point of sleepiness or nausea. I've found that, for me, eating fast often results in stomachaches. Besides this, I've read that your stomach doesn't register 'fullness' until 20 minutes after you've started eating; therefore, you should make your meals last for 20 or more minutes, and if you're full by then, stop eating.

I do eat a little fast on my work days. Usually I eat slowly as it is healthier. According to health experts we need to digest our food well. Rushing our food down without digesting well is not a sign of good health.

I also eat very fast. Like eating a cup of rice with a piece of fried chicken takes 2-3 minutes. I learned to eat fast, because my mother used to hurry me when I eat meals especially breakfast. My mother dont want me to be late for school. So she always scold me when I eat pretty slow. She wants me to eat fast. Now that Im an adult, she told me chew your food thoroughly, but I can't even do that anymore, I was used to gulping my meals. I tried to chew my food slowly, I get tired easily. I do really prefer to eat quickly as if Im going to be late or get penalized If I don't eat fast.
