Problems with Concentration

I'm sitting here in front of my computer, and I am finding it hard to concentrate due to my nieces being here. I try to focus on something, yet as soon as I try, something happens to distract me. I want to be able to focus on my writing and posting on mylot as well, but I just can't do it today. Have you found it hard to concentrate with others around even though you really want to? What do you do in that situation?

Yeah, I find it hard sometimes. Usually when I want to concentrate, I just take my laptop to my room and it's much peaceful in there. I can get a lot done. Right now, my house is silent and it's lovely. :) Have a great day and I hope you can concentrate!

Ahh, to have a laptop. Hopefully soon that will become a reality. :) For now, I have my lovely desktop. I think I will have to wait until later to find some time to myself. hehe

We all have experience maintaining concentration. Indeed, it is difficult to achieve. The primary cause, I guess, is depression or stress. Try to focus on your aim-and-purpose. Depression makes me exhausted. It doesn't help me at all. Take your time. Meditate regularly. I'm a moslem. We, moslem, do fasting. When I'm trying to finish my writing, I do fasting. Fasting is a sort of meditation, isn't it? Whatever your religion is, I guess your "system" has provided many solutions to overcome depression or to do some meditation. If you want to write easily, meditate. Don't be afraid of losing time, money, or opportunity due to meditation. Meditating is good for your soul. We are writer. We are not only working with our logic, but also with our soul. Using logic only makes our writing "dry."

If I have a hard time concentrating it can also be writers block. I take a notepad and go somewhere like a park or something. I just write down ideas or words that inspire me. Then when I am ready to write nothing stops me.
