making ends meet

I am worried about my husband losing his job and i need to know, how do you make ends meet with only 1 income, mine as a teacher. We just bought a house, we have a car payment and then the usual household bills! Please advise would be appreciated. Also, does anyone know of any legit part time businesses online or at home?

I'm not sure. I earn from ebay and from my shop. it's big drop in earnings last year, and they said economy won't recover until 2010. so basically I have learned to just do my best and if I lose it then I lose it. I don't know any money making sites that are legit. the only option is p/t job offline, but then again I don't know yet if it's possible to get one that lasts long.

Start now cutting out anything that you can cut from your budget, set the A/C to a higher setting, stop using outdoor lights if you have them, shop the sales and stock up on anything that's a really good deal. If you have any credit cards see if you can pay them off before your husband loses his job. Is he looking for another one yet? He should be and he might want to also put his resume on monster.com or jobster. Depending on what he does he could also check out your local county, state and federal govt. websites for job openings. I don't know of any online businesses except for selling on Ebay but you have to have a product or interest that provides you with one. My husband makes money buying and selling motorcycles and motorcycle parts on Ebay but primarily he's a bike builder so the parts he sells are usually things he can't use.
