Do you believe the world will end on Dec 21 2012?

I refuse to take seriously a race that couldn't even predict its own demise centuries ago. Or I wouldn't, if they had actually predicted the end of the world; what we're looking at here is the end of the 13th cycle of the Mayan Calendar. My calendar runs out on Dec 31st, but I don't expect the world to end; I buy a new calendar. Which bits of the Bible exactly back this up? As far as I'm aware, none of them do. Can you point me to a specific chapter/verse? Or is it hearsay that it does?

I have heard alot about this world is going to end in 2012 and my belief on it all is when god is good and ready to come back for all his children here on earth he will do so. It very well may be possible that this date is accurate but I can only believe it the day it actually happens.

Who knows? If it's going to happen, all the worrying in the world wont help and if it isn't, we'll have spent 3 and a half years fearing it for nothing. So, either way, its pretty pointless to even think about it - just live life to the full anyway.
