So i dont know if every has heard... But i just heard yesterday about this Russia at war with Georgia. Does anyone know what its all about? I got a few basic ideas.... I will explain what i know, and ask for your opinions and views. From what i heard its an old battle that was never settle like 10years ago when Russia broke apart. On thursday Georgia began taking control of South Ossetia (I am guessing for territory control?) And so the Russians came in for "Peace keeping" and to back up South Ossetia... I dont know if you can call that peace keeping though... Russia is apparently all over Georgia and a UnDeclared war is in the works. The media is also talking about how Russia and Georgia are accusing the other of "ethnic cleansing" Now the USA is trying to put their voice in this battle ( As iF Iraq wasn't enough for them). George Bush is talkn about how he has to back up Georgia because Georgia is one of their Alies in the Iraq war. I am really curious to know whats going on over there? The middle east has enough war going on. Is WW3 coming? LOL What are your opinions/views?

I'm sorry I just posted a similar discussion without knowing this was here, but I am not sure what is to come of this. NATO is also close with Georgia, and the US is a little iffy about the situation, so I don't think we are going to get into it until NATO really does. We have warships heading to Iran's coast right now (Bush is trying to make them throw the first punch, and Iran will certainly do that). I fear a WWIII on the horizon, but I hope not. I have never in my life had to experience a time where Europe fought each other, it's very alien to what I have ever experienced.

No worries about the posting of the same topic... It dont bother me. Do you know why Russia did not want Georgia to join Nato? I dont follow these subjects too much.. But now that Russia, Georgia, South Ossetia, and The USA potentially are all envolved. Am curious to know what does our future hold?

I think we'll get involved because oil passes through there on its way to us and a lot of other places. Because we refuse to advance non-oil energy sources due to the country being owned by corporations, we'll be over there soon.

What i dont understand is that the media also keeps talking about the USA Econmoy, how its in a Recession... Why Is Bush Still trying to go to war then? The cost of these wars, is not helping out your country.... Maby the Election better come soon, The USA needs a New President.

Well a new president we may not get yet, if we get into Iran, Bush can suspend the election and get a longer term for an emergency. It seems as if he is not going to leave the office without kicking.

sugarplum has an idea I didn't think of and it may very well come to pass. War is actually profitable--for big business, which runs this country, not generally the citizens. Our politicians are owned by big business and special interests, so I'm betting we're going to go there and protect the oil routes. Whenever you want to know how something will turn out or why something is happening, remember 3 words that always work: Follow the Money!

Hi questionsnoanswers, I have heard a little bit oabout it and ofcourse Bush has to get invlove, well its about the oil I expect. If Zimbabwe had oil there I'm sure Bush would have been inloved and yes I can see it may be coming to ww3 if they don't watch and I do wish Bush will stay out of it. Tamara
