We got so excited as children.. for example, someone blows bubbles.... we can run around and chase them; flailing our arms screaming with excitement in a public place? We would look like fools as adults LOL If we got a 5 cent raise.. we could run around the office screaming... Nickle, Nickle, Nickle! Oh could you imagine the office staff? LOL If we didn't feel like wearing our clothes we can just fling them off, no matter what type of guests we had in our home! Imagine that.... Oh my! If you were going out to the park race everyone to the car and don't worry about not telling anyone you have to pee,,, you just want to go! Imagine us adults acting in these ways, we lose something as we grow, we lose simple enjoyments in life I think. CAn you remember anything that made you SOOOOO excited when you were a child, and want to react the same way as an adult?

I guess I never did ghrow up, I still get excited about small things and I show it, maybe not quite as crazy as kids do but i still do. How often I get told i am a big kid and although I have never had kids when i go to visit people or go to parties kids always hang around me.. I guess it is true I never lost the kid in me...

LOL I loved reading this, how right you are. What happens to us when we become adults, all those pleasures do go, all the excitement goes out of everything, yet we were kids it was brilliant! If we reacted as adults to good news like our children do, we would all be locked up in nut houses!! My daughter is two, she gets fed up of her clothes she takes them off and just struts about in her birthday suit in the garden, how funny it would be if I did the same!! No, I would not dare, not anymore LOL

That would be brilliant! we could throw atantrum when we didn't get our own way and not be in the slightest bit embarrassed! hehe i think we do lose something when we grow up, we get more self aware and more conscious of what others think and so we have to behave in a more socially acceptable way, which is a bit rubbish, when we're kids we don't realise just how free we are! I used to get really excited about christmas when i was a child, i was lucky and had parents who were really good at that sort of stuff but since i've grown up and my family has been living apart it's become a bit of a lonely time, it would be lovely to have the magic of christmas in my childhood back! happy mylotting! xx

oh i can remember when i was so excited , it was when my dad brought home are new puppy. I beged him and begged him for a dog , and when he gave in and brought home are new puppy i was so happy and excited . Kids are funny with the naked thing i see , my son does the same thing just takes off his clothes homes waltzen out , he don't care who is over , and he acts like it's nothing, so carefree. I am still like a kid at times not that i would do what my son does, but i still git all excited over things, and do my best to enjoy life to the fullest, You never know when it's over.

Wait, those things are out of the ordinary. I do them all the time (not really). I read a book called Tuesdays with Morrie. He said that he enjoys the age he is at because there are certain things that you get to do that others don't. Stop wishing you were a kid and do the things kids wish they could do at your age. Thanks for reading and good luck.

Never read the book. I am glad the author is happy with the age he is now, so am I. Thanks for the response
