For a woman its alarming if the hair starts to drop out,and I would be worried if it were mine too.But I have seen a few women about with thinner hair, maybe a little baldness, but nothing too bad, they can usually disguise it by the way that they brush it,but it must be really bad ,for a man to lose his hair often makes him look good.

Some very good tips from nickna. Rosemary is also very beneficial to help build healthy hair follicles. Have you had your thyroid checked lately? Malfunction of the thyroid is another prime cause of hair loss.

Well, sometimes hairloss doens't have anything to do with family history. It could be a multiple reasons. It could be stress. Not getting the right amount of certan foods and not enough proteins to help with your hair. Your body since your surgery can be flushing out the proteins in your system before it really has time to do your body much good. I would check with a doctor they may recommend a product for you to use. Also some shampoos will cause hair loss especially ones for dandruff and psorisis.
