What is needed to be saved?

You bring out a very interesting point there. You used the term "Born Again". Lets look at exactly what that means to be born again. Exactly how do we become born again? There is actually only one way to be born again. This is through God renewing our mind and this can only come about through the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. This is indicated in several places in the New Testament. The Anointing of the Holy Spirit is the true key to everything. It gives God a way to personally communicate with us and share his power with us. God's real truth is the only thing that will renew our minds and that must come directly from God. At this point in time man just doesn't have enough of Gods real truth to to get us where we need to go. Our jobs as Christian teachers is to help people get into a position where God can Anoint them and that's it. We are not to be trying to lead man all the way from the cradle to the grave like the modern day churches try to do.

The Holy Bible says in Ephesians 2:8 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through FAITH, it is not from yourself, it is a gift of God. not by works so that no can boast."
John 3:16" For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who so ever believe in HIm shall not perish but have eternal life."
Hebrews 11:6 "Without FAITH it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exist, and that He reward those who earnestly seek Him."

Yes, I trust that. It is not by ones might or strength but by the power of God. Faith is a powerful tool which can move mountains. So we should pray that God should strengthen our faith. It is said if one can have faith as small as the mastard seed you will be able to led the mountain move.

Hi Rodney this is me Cristina of Hubpages. Nice to know that you also joined Mylot. I am from the Evangelical group. I believe in what Jesus says in John 3 that "unless a man be born again, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God." A man must experience spiritual rebirth in order to be saved. In order to be born again, a man must first acknowledge his sinfulness before God, and accept Christ ultimate sacrifice on the cross for the forgivenss of his sins. Then he must repent from his sins and surrender to the Lordship of JesusChrist. For me there is no other way to be saved apart from Christ.

'Just believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and Saviour then you'll be saved. Jesus already payed the price for us to be saved. He requires nothing just our declaration. That's how easy it is.

I am a Catholic. Accept Christ as your lord and saviour. He is the true and the light.By living a righteous life you can be saved through Christ.

I'm an Alliancist (Christian and Missionary Alliance).. the truth is that there is nothing (NOTHING) that you can do to earn your salvation.. It's a gift, and was given to us because God wanted to.. all you have to do is accept his forgiveness.. some people don't, and some "pseudo-churches" state that there is some sort of formula to gain God's favor.. but the truth is that it's by His grace that we are saved.
