My child turned one year old today. Well, actually it is technically yesterday since it is now a new day at 12:41 am. I can't believe how fast time has gone with him. He is no longer my little baby, he is my little toddler. We aren't having his birthday party until the 17th of this month since most of the relatives live 2 hours away from us. Geez, before I know it he will be 2 years old and then 18 and moving away to college. Time just goes by way too fast!

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot amore. i agree with you that time flies so fast. i have a two year old son and his pictures appears as my avatar. boys are different from girls so as now i am enjoying h im. hugging him nd kissing him. i know there will come a time that i can no longer give him a kiss and a hug so i am making most of it now. yes before we know our children are moving out and building their own family. but now let us just enjoy them. teach them good manners and shower them with love and affection

Showering them with love and affection is the best thing we can do right now.

Geez. Right now being mom defines us... what are we going to do when they grow up? Everything I do is something with being mom or wife... but someday... they will grow up... move out... and then our little one year olds will be all grown up... and we will have an empty nest (well we will always have the fathers... they are like kids). In some ways, I wish my kids would be farther apart in age, so that I could be defined as mom a little longer. But, on the other hand... I'll be glad for this whole pregnancy thing to be done with. I feel like a cow.

well, you posted this some months ago, but im new to this site. i know how you are feeling, i recently just went through that. my son just turned 2 feb 5th, and well, i sit here and wonder where the heck the time went. when i hold him in my arms and his little legs dangle out, i think "i rem when he actually FIT in my arms". i can't believe how big he's gotten, and smart. it's only a matter of time before he's off to school, and having girlfriends, and driving , and the day he turns 18. just gotta take things day by day and enjoy every moment that you can with them because as much as you would like to you can't get these times back. hope you n your little one are doing great!!
