Do nightmares come real?

Do you think what we have dreamed would come true one day? I think it's impossible for nightmares to come true. It's just a dream. But some people told me that dreams are something we always think of subconsciously. People said if we have a nightmare,it's better for us to tell other people immediately the next day so that it won't come true. How true is this? Please share with me,thanks.

I don't think they ever come true. If my memory serves me right, I've seen on tv (discovery channel perhaps) that when we sleep, the logic part of our brain basically goes to sleep too and that's why our dreams are weird and sometimes they totally don't have any sense. It's possible that what you dream about is the last thing you saw before you slept, or the highlight of your day/week, or something that you are always thinking or bothered about. But all-in-all, I don't really think dreams will come true. Not unless you plan to pursue your dream yourself. You know, do something to make it happen.
