Blacklisted IP

Oh that scared me, Ive had emails bouncing back for the last week and couldnt work out why. Then I emailed a friend with a business and got a return mail, from his server, telling me that my IP was spam blacklisted by Fortiguard Antispam - now how does that happen, Ive never spammed in my life?

You may have a virus doing the spamming for you. Or, do you share an internet connection with somebody else? If so, maybe that other person is the spammer.

Sorry, I only just noticed your response. Yes the virus doing the spamming is an interesting one, this happened just after my pc had contracted a virus, it gone now. It did occur to me at the time. No I dont share the connection with anyone so it wont be that. Anyway the company I contacted have now removed the black listing against my IP so I am clear. Thanks very much for responding.
