I just heard that the American Tax dollar is still paying the bill to build infrastructure in Iraq, including hotels at a time when the infrastructural situation in the United States is frighteningly dire--who is going to pay for all this when our money is going to IRAQ???
Im all about helping the IRAQI's get back on their feet but at the expense our own economy, who's president is BUSH?? We should of been in and out of there but now it just seems Iraqi is getting a free ride on us since Our dollars our paying to build IRAQI not the money from Iraqi oil, does this make any sense to you?Someone had the nerve to say that the reward from doing all this work--PAYING--is so we can have "a lifelong partner in the global economy".....which gives me the chills.
DO THEY CARE MORE ABOUT IRAQ THEN THEIR OWN COUNRTRY, WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE???

Well, the Iraquis are not the ones that bombed the buildings there. I'm white, coincidently, and no Iraq lover? But we bombed them and droppped their structures and they still have to get th rest oftheir new gov't up and going and..yes, they WILL have to have their archetects plan to build to their liking, etc..AND they ahve to restore the electric, etc..ALOT of the oil money will go into putting "Humpty-Dumpty" back together over there. We may still be having our taxes going into putting some og thier vuildings back? But we knocked them down and went into there over lies, so..did we expect NO consequences?
I would ratehr see that money spent here on new levees for New Orleans or go for food to kids in West Viirginia that ar hungry. But if the money is not spent there..do you really think the gov't OWULD spend the money that way? Most likely they would just put it into the military anyway and this way at least the kids over there can get a roof over their heads and maybe some schools up?
We WASTE too much money. The Iraqi people will use that money for thier country and we demolished it, so we do have to ut a few things back up.
Blame your president.

Oh believe me I dont approve of our president by any means and I just think this situation over in Iraq puts us in a tough predicament. The first thing I thought about was all these innocent people being put in the middle of a situation they had no part in starting and I feel for all the many that had to die over in Iraq. I absolutely do not blame them for anything but on the governmental level something has to give and the US needs to be improving its own infrastructure and now we have obligations over in IRAQ (that we started) and its like it couldnt be a worse time and thats what sucks about it all. I think we have only 2 states that went through their whole pipe strutures in the entire city and upgrade things but can you imagine the cost of 49 states, only time will tell and If we get hit with many more harsh winters the signs will tell us how bad the situation is but I wonder if many even know about this. When we get hit with more tax to cover the need for construction then more might but by that time Bush will be out of office and instead of seeing it for what it is---Bush had no focus here at home, the blame I imagine will get placed elsewhere. I also believe there needs to be more pressure on all of our politicians and its become a big joke how politicians are getting paid 100k salaries and driving nice cars but do not even have to have a regular 5 day work week like all of us (working to get things done in the interest of the people instead of coming in for half-arsed votes), its ridiculous
