Advice for psychology work experience?

August 10, 2008 10:58am CST
Hi, I've recently quit my day job in order to study psychology and am also looking to gain work experience to help with my career once I've finished studying. I have a job now as a carer for the elderly so at least Im getting people experience as before I worked in an office. Can anyone else offer any suggestions for good work experience? Thanks.

You can also try internship with psychologist. I think that would actually be a more enriching experience for you to gather more psychology work experience.

I think youre on the right track, because not only is the work youre doing know giving you people experience but its also giving you you a good feel for the type of work you may be doing in the future. The only other place i can think of is perhaps volunteering at a hospital or school, basically anywhere else you feel would give you the similar type of experience youre getting now. Good Luck
