If you won the lottery, what's the first thing you would buy?

I have a friend who always buys the lottery, hoping she'd win, and she did a few times, but she won the small prizes like $5 or $20. What would you do if you won the lottery and you won as much as one million dollars or ten million? How would you react? And would you spend the money or save it for something really important like college for your children or yourself?
On the other hand, my other friend says it's a waste of money, because it's very unlikely that you'll ever win at all (which is true). Do you think it's worth it to play the lottery every week or so? And of course, if you did win the lottery, what in the world would you buy? Just wanted to know what you think...

i ll try to invst half the money & spnd t rest on cars....luxury travel & many more & spnd life happily....hope this becoms true....by the way do u buy lotery?

I would buy my own house and everything to go inside it, including a vehicle. I would then invest the rest to gain interest. Submit some in my retirement funds, kid's college funds, etc. I would also give a couple of my close friends a million dollars each to get them on their way.

Let's see if I won 10 million in the lottery I would have to say half of that went to taxes so that leaves me with 5 million and I would take two and a half million and set up trust found for my five kids in a half million each that they can touch at 18 and only for college expenses.. Books, dorm fees. tuition. then when they turn 24 they can live off the interest no matter what and at 30 they can dip into it. ok that leaves me at two and half million left. I would then invest half a million and after five years live of the interest. The last two million would be used to buy land build a house get new vehicles and start a business.

I would buy 100 acres of land and fish all day. Send kids to college, help family members.
