Cancer hurts us all

I am scared to death of getting cancer. Most of the people in my life have gotten it at one time or another. My grandmother has had Colon cancer 2 times, the last time which was about 2 years ago, they ended up taking her colon out and she now has a colostomy bag. My mother also had colon cancer and had half of her colon removed, she had a temp colostomy bag but it has now been reversed. My mother in law died 5 years ago (RIP) of cancer that spread fast to every possible place it could. We have had many different cancers in our family and it is scary. It not only affects the person with it but the family that has to watch their loved one suffer from it. To all the people that have lost a loved one to any kind of cancer, I feel for you and I know your pain. Share with my you stories. (RIP JUDITH 2003).

HI,
I have lost family members and friends due to cancer. I was caregiver, to my best friend, who had cancer and is now 6 years post cancer free. What she went thru and still suffers from (due to the radiation and the operation) no human being should ever ever suffer that way and still! Getting tearful now....keep close watch with your doctors and pray.

thank you for sharing your story and I do hope your friend is doing ok.. My mother went through the radiation and such as well and she hasnt been the same since....God Bless

I feel sure that the most of us have had some family member that has had a form of cancer at one time or another,we always pray to God that the type that is diagnosed is one that can be treated,often there are types that if caught soon enough can be nipped in the bud,but it is hard on the family,the time is gruelling for them ,and all we can do is offer them love and support.

I agree. It is a shame there are not more ways to catch cancer early and cure them for good. It is a problem that has been around for a long time now. Thank you for sharing with me..Have a wonderful day
