It's Been A Very Sad Week In The World Of Entertainment

I don't know how to start this discussion because I am very
sad about the loss of 2 of may favorite Entertainers, both
having passed away suddenly this week. One is Bernie Mac,
an unbelievably brilliant comedian whose comedy genius
I have enjoyed for years. I have followed his career from
the very beginning and watched just about every episode
of "The Bernie Mac Show" And then today to turn on the
computer and to find yet another of my favorite Entertainers,
Isaac Hayes- (yes he played John Shaft) a brilliant performer,
both singer and actor has also passed away. Both these men
left us suddenly this week and I know they will be greatly
missed.

OMG, I did not hear that about Isaac Hayes, he was here in New Jersey about two months ago, I did not get to see him, I had something to do at the time he was supposed to perform.
It usually happens in threes whenever a public figure expires. I surely hope I do not hear anymore bad news.

It is very sad indeed to lose them. They become part
of our life with out knowing them personally. They make
us happy, they entertain us. But we have to let them go.
Because they don't belong here anymore in this world of
the living. But their memories will always linger in our
mind.

Very sad for the entertainment world this week.
Just a small correction though. Isaac Hayes wrote and recorded the theme song to the movie "Shaft", which won him the Academy Award for "Best Original Song". Richard Roundtree was the actor who played the roll of John Shaft in the movie.
Isaac also did the voice of "Chef" in the adult animated comedy show South Park. Performed some great songs in that show also.
They will both be very greatly missed indeed.

Thanks craft. I meant to correct that. I just was so upset
about Isaac and Bernie. I had just finished reading the
news online. I know Richard Roundtree played John Shaft and
I do appreciate your correction.

Oh no I hadn't heard about Bernie Mac- he's one of my favourite comedians. I absolutely loved the Bernie Mac Show. They will both be missed, good people often die suddenly. I hope you feel better soon.

I didn't know about Isaac Hayes. He was the bald headed, dark brown dude with the slight full beard, right. When? How? It's so sad to see people pass away period. But, when they were a part of your life - like if you can remember going to the movies to see Bernie Mac, or watching his show on tv - it makes you wrestle with your loved one's and your own mortality. I was so disappointed that the rumors that were floating around came to pass. Bernie Mac was young and had done so much. But, who is there really to be dissapointed at?

yes i know. its terrible. getting to where every time i turn on the news one is gone i so loved! i asked my daughter the other day, what in the hecks going on in this world. lately so many people are dying around us in a blink of the eye here in the USA. she said mom we getting older. but Bernie was only 50!

holy crap i didn't realize Isaac Hayes passed away too. we're in for 1 more. they always pass away in 3s. so in the next little while we will lose someone else. i still can't believe we lost Bernie Mac. i thought he was getting better then my husband tells me the next moring that it said he passed away. i said to my hubby i said no he was in the hospital but hes getting better (cause thats what i read/heard the night before). my hubby says you don't believe me go look at msn. i did and i was shocked. i loved watching the Bernie Mac show.

yes a very sad world of entertainment, for two genius people have to say goodbye. two brilliant people with different talents has to go. they both will be issed speccially of the people who enjoyed them both. i love the movie of bernie mac... guess who , i have a dvd of that and i always watch it when i want to have a big laugh. Let perpetual light upon them.

Oh yes, i was surprised to hear that both bernie mack and isaac hayes had past away its always sad to know that a someone, we have all grown use to seeing every day on tv will no longer be gracing us with there talent's i will definitely miss them
