make a living. Most people do their own or have an agency do them for free for them up here. I'm not sure I would get very many people to do that, but probably as many people as for anything else. The software might be more than I would end up making. What do you think? I'm still exploring options.

I did have a typing service with a friend many years ago. Part of our workload was typing individual resumes. I found each person wants their resume set up different which made it difficult to use any kind of standard form or program. Sometimes buying computer programs can be more costly than profits earned. I recently had an opportunity to work for our daughter as a medical transcriptionist from home. I passed on this offer because I would have to buy a transcriber and have a good word procesing program on my computer which I don't have right now. Microsoft Word would run me about $150.00. Just didn't seem worth the effort.

The friend I had that did resumes had many, many different resume outlines that she could plug into. $150.00 when you transcribe isn't bad, it usually costs way more than that. I know people who have spent over $4,000 in the course and equipment because most places want training and a certificate. The people who have done that make thousands a year, so if you had thousands of dollars worth of work, it would be worth it. Some people work full time at transcription and have to turn work away. But up here and most places, I would need that certificate.

I'm just not that interested since I already work 2 days a week away from home. I prefer to work in a job that requires human interaction. Love being with people. I passed on the work at home job.

I'd love to do work at home. Esp. this year, blinding rain storms and this knuckle-headed state! Three roads lead out of our town and all three are under construction, raises heck with my back and makes it so hard to get to work on time.

I think there are professional businesses that specialize in this sort of thing and that it would be near impossible to do it without having had at least worked in one such business. I had a niece who worked at a business that did this sort of thing and could not believe how much they charged! They would do resumes for doctors and attorneys and the charges were quite large. That's my two cents' worth. Take care.

That would be who you would have to do it for because the poor here can get it done for free. But you get what you pay for and I'm not impressed with their results. But I wouldn't really know how to do one for a doctor or attorney. I figured this was a long shot. It's a real need in my area and I thought I would explore it online with all of you. Thanks and take care.
