Making Referrals

Hello, I've been members of many PTC sites and wanted to know a few things. First, do people who make money off of PTC sites make it mostly off of referrals? Most PTC sites only have a few ads a day and it took me a week to make $1 of off bux.to with no referrals, about 10-15 ads a day, and $0.01 for each click. Second, does anybody know how to get a lot of referrals. I've seen people make videos to get referrals and they get tons, but that takes a lot f time that I just don't have, but might take. Third, does anybody want to trade referrals. I am a member of most referral sites, but if anybody wants to trade referrals for a site I don't use. Yes, I am active.
