Looking Good, but not Good Looking...

I was at a family reunion this weekend and I saw a ton of people I hadn't talked to in about 10 years. It was really cool and we had a great time. One of the best parts was when I walked up to my fathers aunt and said hello. Of course she didn't recognize me at first, but when I told her whose daughter I was she knew right away. I later found out that she's 92, so that's totally understandable. She was so funny though because I thought she was looking really good (for whatever age she was) and told her so. She started to laugh and told me (jokingly of course) that everyone is telling her how she looks so good, but no one is telling her that she's good looking! We had a great laugh over that!!!! Man, this woman is still sharp as a tack! I hope I'm like her when I get up into those years!!!

I think everybody would like to be sharp like that at that age. It seems like the older ppl get the more ppl tell them they are looking good...like their surprised that your not a walking corpse LOL ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I tell ya, I really hadn't expected to see her up and about like I had remembered her as a kid. It's true, she didn't look like she had one foot in the grave as so many others seem to.

We got to see our Granny the other day when I was up at Washington. She remembered us and we had a good time. She was her old self and we talked and laughed. She is on new meds. Since then she has been confused one week my older sister went to see her and then this week she would not walk she sat on her walker and wanted to be pushed. What the hecks going on with that. I do not know if she is going down hill or just has to much meds. I will have my older sister keep an eye on her.

It's good that you have someone that watches over her. Although there are a few family memebers up close by my grandmother, my mom goes up there a lot to keep an eye on her.

Yah, she is really cool ,and hip! I hoe me, too. Will be as sharp and humorous as her when I grow old. Only few maintained such an outlook and healthy mind. Because of the to much stress the world is giving us.

I tell ya, I was really amazed when I found out she was 92. Her and her daughter dressed in matching outfits that they had found last week. That was a hoot!!! I hope I'm like that when I get that age!

Hey reiny, That is so cool. It is so amazing when you talk to someone that is her age and she still has all her faculties. I wish that if I was to live that long I would be sharp as a tack too. Although, I am already losing my short term memory so I wonder....She sounds like she is a really fun person too and still has a really good sense of humor. That's a great thing to have and still be 92!

It was really cool, but at the same time kinda sad. My grandmother is 90 and she's not nearly in that good of condition. I was very happy that my father's aunt is in such great health though. It was wonderful for her to be acting like I always remembered her!
