Who is Elijah?

Is it mention in the Bible that Elijah did not die? My friend have mentioned it one time (we were both christian/and currently having every Sunday's session of bible study). Please if you have any information about Elijah respond to this post.

Howdy kamodachii! I dont know if this is correct but as far as I can remember Elijah was the one who baptise Jesus Christ and he ascend to heaven not by dying but riding a fire chariot sent by god. My aunts use to read bible stories to me when I was young so this is all I can remember hope its right and will clear your question. Happy mylotting :D

Hi Farmer, I'd like to clear some things. Elijah did not baptize Jesus, but John who had the "spirit of Elijah".

Elijah was carried by the chariots of fire. Check the book of the Kings and Chronicles. He didn't die.
