How do i make money with adsense

Hi guys im quite new to making money online but i think im doing ok but sometimes i have trouble getting my head around things,i wanted to ask about adsense and how you use it in laymens terms more specificly i was wondering on a ptc site if i can use my points for advertising via adsense and earn extra i had trouble when i tryed to register at adsense but if you think its worth it i would give it another go,please help i probably need it in laymans terms lol:)
