Family is considered as the smallest unit of the society where love, nurturing and belongingness begins. Each and every person comes from a family. In this sense, how do you value your family? For me my family is the most important thing in my life because without them i would not be here where i am now. My mother had molded me to become a better person and i am now ready to stand on my own and had created my very own FAMILY as well. How about you what's your story?

in the philippines family is put as the 2nd important in one's life first is of course God. belonging to the new generation i still do believe in the value of family and how important they are in our lives. it is already our culture to take care of our old parents and other siblings even if we already have a family of our own. that is how important family is for us. we also have extended family system.

Hi there Wild_flow_r, We'll i'm a filipino too and i definitely agree with you about how we treat and the importance we have on our family. Filipinos are family bonded and closely knit. No wonder you were the one person to respond to this topic because we share the same interest. Have a nice day to you. Happy Mylotting!

Family is the foundation of society. When a society ignores the importance of family, you start to see dysfunction. It cannot sustain this dysfunction. I often think of the way it was centuries ago, when tribal factions were common. Everything else revolves around the family in a successful society.
