Before washing, I will put cleathes in soap powder water. Then I have a bath or do something else. After about 1 hour I will come back and begin to wash the clothes. What about you? How long do you leave clothes in soap powder water?

Hello, lixiaos! I always wash our clothes in th washing machine.I soak the clothes for about thirty minuits and then rn the machine for just five minutes and that is enough to crar the dirts then wash for another 5 minutes it is now ready for dryer.it is in case of synthetic clothes.but for cotton clothes the process takes a longer peeriod.soak the cotton clothes in soap powder water for two to three hours and then run the machine for five minutes and leave for some time and run the machine for another five minutes and now it is ready for final wash and then dry the clothes.thanx.

Depends on what time of day I put them in, what kind of clothes they are, and how dirty. Most of my clothes don't need to soak, like t-shirts, pajamas, etc., because they don't get very dirty. But our jeans, my husband's uniforms, and all towels and washcloths (dish and bath) get a little dirtier than regular clothes, so they do get a soak. I fill the washer with hot water, detergent, and a tablespoon of brown Lysol (just in case they're worse than just dirty), and let it agitate with the lid up so it doesn't run the full cycle. I put my "soak" clothes in while something else is in the dryer, and I leave the lid up on the washer so it won't spin until I'm ready for it to. When the drying load is nearly done, I let the soaking ones finish their wash-cycle. So I suppose they soak for about 20-30 minutes.

I am going to respond to your question as best as I can. I usually do my laundry in a washer machine that I fortunately was just given recently from a good friend. It is a lot more convenient. I don't own a dryer right now, but it is just as well because I hang dry my clothes these days. There have been times when I washed my clothes in warm soapy detergent water. I would actually let it sit in the water for about twenty minutes. But I think that an hour is definitely an appropriate time frame.

hi if the clothes are stained heavily then I will soak them for a good length of time, the longer they soak the bettert he cleaning process will be.But if the clothes are delicate then there is no way that I would soak them for very long, the delicates do not really need a soak at all,I like to wash my jerseys using Woolite,it keeps the bounce in the wool

I leave my clothes on soapy water for about two hours. That is enough time to soften the dirt and stains.
