I'm going to be point blank obvious about me today I want to apologize to everyone because I'm going to be of and on the lot for brief periods of time due the fact that I have had a major migraine since yesterday and it has not gone away I have tried all the pills at my disposal and now I'm dreading the shot because I know if I do the shot them I'm going to be out of commission for at least 2-4 hrs after the shot and I can't have that since my little ones are running around wanting stuff and watching t.v. So my question to you is have you ever had days like this? what did you do about it? How did you manage to function and run a household while having one? Again thanks ahead of time for understanding why I am off and on in short spurts. I love you all and take care. By the way I am a chronic migraine sufferer. So I'll just have to be in a dark living room while I have the t.v. on for the kids and stuff cotton in my ears and have a pillow over my eyes. LOL!!!

I feel for you Bella. Migraines are sooo painful. Darkened room is good. Try ear plugs to deaden the sound even more. Look after yourself. XX

You would think after having maigraines for such a long time that I would have used earplugs to deaden the sound. My god I feel like an idiot for not thinking of that sooner than later. LOL!! Thank you my dear sweet pike.

Hi well Bella I have every sympathy with you they are horrible ,the pain is so intense it seems as though you head is going to fall off,I have used Veganin and Migralief to try to quell the pain, but it does to a certain evtent then it comes back, maybe you need to take a visit to the Doctor, maybe there is something that he would be able to prescibe to take away some of the discomfort

yeah my daughter doesn't like nap time anymore and I have notice with my youngest a 15 minute nap rejuvinates her so much that she doesn't want to go to bed at bedtime so I have to make sure if me and her do nap (usually when she is sick) that she is able to go to night night on time. LOL!! It's no fun being yucky and having small things depend on ya is it?

Wow, I know how you feel! I used to suffer from those kind of headaches a lot! Ever since menopause though, they have eased up quite a bit. I tried all kinds of medication, including Fioricet, Naproxin, 800 mg Motrin, etc etc. You need to take medication at the first inkling of the headache. Once it takes hold, no meds will ease your pain except the shot you describe. I've had those as well. Try to find out what triggers your headaches, sometimes its food allergies, stress, hormonal changes, etc. See if you can get a neighbor or a grandma to take the kids off your hands for a bit. I hope you feel better quick!

my doc says it hereditary LOL!!! For me at leas I have had them all my life they can stem from either a pinched nerve in my neck or a lot of heat. But they can also come on for no reason what so ever. Lucky me. My daughter and son also have recently been diagnosed with them.

I really sympathise with you on this, I get mild ones from time to time and they are bad enough, especially when it gets to the point where each thud makes me want to throw up. I suffered chronic ones when I was pregnant with my first child they passed when he was born, I later found out that I had pre eclampsia, it was not widely known about then.

get yerself some lavendar oil and some peppermint oil and some cotton balls. soak one in the lavendar, oe in the peppermint.. and alternate smelling them. as weird as that sounds dearie.. itll knock that frigen headache right out of you. ive had migraines so bad i just wanted to gouge my eyes right out of my head with my own fingernails. its worse than broken bones.. its worse than labor.. you have my greatest sympathies on this one. IF per chance the aromatherapy doesnt work.. take two sudafed with two extra strength tylenol and a hot scalding shower. let the water heat up the back of yer skull.. this has usually done the trick if the migraine is just starting to set in.. you know what that feels like.. at the very beginning of it when yer skin starts feeling weird around yer eyes? try them.. see if either helps. hope ya feel better ..;hugs;..
