Throughout my life I have had many strange occurances with seeing things and such. However, I recently moved into my mother in laws house with my family so we can start to save for a house. A few nights ago my husband and I were laying in bed and a pair of sock came out of nowhere and hit me. Mind you it was dark so I do not know where they came from. Hubby was asleep though. Then a few days after that a closet door in the living room opened for no reason. I thought I was crazy but my niece seen it too. I lost my grandpa back in June. Do you guys think it is him? What or why do you think is going on here?

I do believe in paranormal activity and so in my mind there is a very real possibility that you are more particularly "tuned in" to certain things around you. However, I'd advise taking a practical and scientific approach to investigation before chalking it up as paranormal. Being hit in the dark by socks is definitely strange! Maybe set up a video camera with infrared and have it record at night. This can help eliminate the possibilities of sleepwalkers or some other non-paranormal thing. As for closet doors, I don't find it too strange because every place we move into, the doorknobs start to fail soon after. Making doors not close properly (and therefore popping open by themselves) or not opening properly. Most door probelms tend to be bad doorknobs, door jambs, or door hinges. (we have one door that will slowly swing closed - unless you tighten the bottom screw of the top hinge. This stops it from closing, until the screw loosens again) Light bulbs too, don't seem to last after we move in. We call the door and lightbulb problem our own "family curse". Although it's just more of a coincidental nuisance.

I would chalk it up to being a faulty door except it has never done it before and never done it again. That is the weird part. The socks really tripped me out. I know it wasnt a sleepwalker because my youngest cant walk yet and my oldest cant open my bedroom door.

Doors are funny that way. I fixed the door jambs on our bedroom closets when we first moved in because they'd pop open on their own. After I fixed them they didn't do it for over a year. Then all of a sudden one popped open. It's done it a few time now, but with alot of time in between.

I guess there are some kind of ghosts in your mother-in-law's house. You must a little more careful as you may also have seen other strange things but did not notice.
