Juices are good for health. How many of you agree with the above phrase. Is it true. How can you justify.

It really depends on what brand you go by. Most of the juices you find at the grocery store are loaded with added sugar, and are not natural! Regular juice has a lot of sugar in the first place, so adding it is a crime in my eyes! It's probably just best to drink water, and get your vitamins from regular fresh fruit, at least you know water is good, and plain fruit is as well. You have to be cautious with a majority of the juices out there that claims to be healthy, like Sunny-D, but in reality it's horrible for your health (it makes my teeth feel gross as well).

It's also better to make your own juices as you can use organic fruit and veges if you can get them. Most bottled juices are pasteurised (heated to a certain temperature) then have vitamins added so they don't even have the natural vitamins as these are lost when heated. If you are buying bottled juices see if they tell you how they are made, many are also made from concentrate. If you make your own you can drink them straight away - they say juice starts losing it's nutrients pretty soon so the sooner after juicing that you drink it the better. You can also get fresh juices from juice bars - you can watch them make it to make sure it is fresh and you should be able to chose from different combinations. Look out for places that do organic juices if buying from a juice bar

I certainly agree with that. I am a juice drinker, orange, apple, pineapple, cranberry, raspberry, and more. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

I fully agree with you. It is more healthier for you to drink these kind of drinks along with water. Then it is to drink Pespsi and Coke. Although I loke both Pespsi and Coke. It is bad drinking to much of both of these drinking. I had a kidney infection and I stopped drinking Coke and Pepsi. I drink more fruit juices and water. They are better for me that is for sure.

I dont agree with the above. When ever you squeeze out juice from a fruit, what do you bring out, nothing. you leave behind all the fiber and minerals and vital nutrients inside the fruit which you throw away and you bring out basically sugars out to fruit. And if you are drinking canned or tetrapack juice then there are lots and lots of sugars and preservatives in that which is actually harmful for the body. If you want to have health from fruits then eat them as a whole with their peels ( now dont try eating coconut like this)

Yes, fresh juices are great. The only thing is you aren't getting the fibre, so some people say it isn't as good as the whole fruit. But compared to a lot of other things they are great for you. I often have fresh juices made from organic veges like carrots, celery, beetroot, ginger and throw in a powder boost like green barley powder or spirulina (if you use enough ginger you can't taste the sprulina). This is a really healthy way to start the day and will get you going. Sometimes I will have a fresh orange juice or apple or combination and usually add ginger and often a boost. I also combine fruit and veg like carrot and apple and ginger. It isn't meant to be too good to have to many fruit juices as it may give you to much sugar so try and alternate with vegetable juices. Also if you are trying to lose weight lots of fruit juices aren't a good idea if you are still eating a full diet as they will probably add lots of sugar and calories. A new health craze at the moment is to have a green smoothie. It is the same idea as a juice, but you use the whole fruit and vegetables so you are getting all the fibre and it is more like a meal. They say to use about 60% fruit and 40% green veges. The idea is that it gets people to eat more veges as the fruit masks the taste of the veges (as some people don't like the taste of vege juices). You need a good blender and you can just throw in lots of nice fruit like pears, apples, paw paws then kale, spinach or other green veges and blend it to a smoothy. You could also add ginger, spices, and superfood boosts, but the main thing is to add the green veggies to your fruit. If you can't handle 40% veggies they say to add less veggies initially and as you get used to drinking the smoothies you will be able to add more veggies to it.
