Does it seem like more and more people are drinking and driving these days? You hear of more crashes and traffic stops with DUI drivers every day. And they just get a tap on the hand, when they could have killed someone. Do you think drunk drivers should get a more harsh punishment? Maybe a wake up call will stop this scary epidemic.

It must be good if drunk drivers must have their license revoke. I mean must be confiscated and they would be fined with a large sum of money so that they would not be able to drive. I hate to see law enforcers who just let this people go without punishment. Many innocent lives in the road have been victims of these drunk drivers. why are they tolerated? this is also my question.

I think drunk driving has been a problem for a long time. The laws are not strict enough. My father was killed by a drunk driver 30 years ago. They had to use the jaws of life to get him out of the car-took them 45 minutes! The guy that hit him got a scratch on the forehead and was only given a ticket because he never got caught before. After we identified the body at the hospital and went to go get my dads car, someone stole it! it wasn't in the area or city pounds anywhere. We think the guy that hit him had it towed,we could never find it.

I think the attitude of drunk driving has changed a lot in my city. I have been in the taxi industry a long time and have seen the changes taking place. There was a day when people would stagger out of a bar right past the line of taxis and into there car for a swerve home. These days people tend to plan to take taxis and use designated drivers. The ones that still do drink and drive are not to popular amongst friends. I hope in the near future everyone will grab a brain and stop the madness!

It is a terrible epidemic that is really running too rampant in this world. It does seem that drinking and driving are going on a lot. There needs to be stiffer penalties. When you get behind the wheel without being totally cognizant of what you are doing you are automatically a menace on the road. I myself am not a drinker by nature let alone I wouldn't even think of drinking and then driving. This activity has stolen precious lives from many people and it has to stop. It is just a horrible thing.
