Photo Contests- What To Enter?

I feel like it's photo contest season right now! I have deadlines for 3 different photo contests next month! One contest in through a magazine, one is through my state's annual fair, and the other is through the photo club that I belong to.
The magazine one has 8 different categories and I can enter up to 3 photos per category. For the fair one I can enter 2 photos. And for the club one I can enter 3 photos.
So since these deadlines are quickly approaching, I made it my goal this week to pick out what photos I'm going to enter. Oh, what a difficult task that is! I have so many photos to chose from!
Does anyone else here have any photo contest deadlines coming up soon? Do you have a difficult time selecting which photos to enter in contests, or do you know right away? Do you prefer entering photo contests with themes, or do you like anything goes open-ended ones?

I have two to enter, one of the county fairs, and one for a magazine. I can enter 2 in the magazine contest and 3 in the fair. It will be interesting to see how I come out as this will be the first contest for me to enter in years. I did okay the last time which was 20 years ago, lol But I did take 1st and 3rd place then. Let us know how you do.

I dont have any photso to enter. I guess that I will try and find out what contests are around. We do have alot of really cool photos around here. I think we could enter some contests. Our current proect right now is taking pictures around our lake here and putting them on a calendar. It is for Christmas gifts but if the calendar turns out nice we may sell them.

I prefer photo contests with themes. And also photo contests without entry fees generally. So I haven't entered anything in awhile.
I usually know fairly quickly which photos I want to enter in a contest though, once I find a contest I want to enter.
