Help! My glasses have started rubbing. Any advice?

Hi all I have been wearing glasses now for about a year. When I first got them they were for reading and tv, but I my eyes are getting worse (another eyecheck for me) and I have started wearing them alot more. Up until now I have had no problem, but over the past few weeks, I have noticed that the bridge of my nose was getting itchy. It could have been the hot weather, I'm not sure. I also suffer metal allergies, but think its a bit bizaare it started itching out of the blue, when I haven't had a problem before. Anyway where it was getting itchy I have rubbed (as you do) and found that this has made it worse. I have tried moisturiser but this is only good last thing at night as they slip if I use it during the day. It is getting to the point where it is driving me mad and I have rubbed and made it sore now! If anyone else who wears glasses has any tips please help me out :) It's getting silly now and also I have an angry red mark with a small scab now on my nose which is now visible when I take them off.
