Well seems this weekend was a great harvest for me. This pictured was all picked Sunday and Monday. A lot of fresh veggies. Green beans, brocholli, grape tomatoes, patio tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, early boy tomatoes, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, and zuchinni. Now what to so with it all? Do you make stir fry with homegrown veggies at all? This is my plan sort of. At this time anyhow. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

seeing all your pictures of the harvest from your garden over the last few weeks has taken me back to my dad's wonderful vegetable/fruit garden. (He was also a grandad called Bob!)I loved to just pick and eat fresh raw beans and peas whenever I liked and my mum made so much jam from the 'overflow' of gooseberries, strawberries, blackcurrants and raspberries. When my brother and I left home dad spent long hours growing far more produce than he and my mum could use so was very popular with relatives! Sadly, he developed a condition which would have made it impossible to maintain the garden so moved house rather than get to a point where he had to watch it grow over. My mum now has her fruit bushes and greenhouse and still saves me her first strawberry of the season! Thanks for bringing back my happy memories and may your harvests continue to be bountiful!

Well thank you very much. I am all myLotters Grandpa Bob it seems. Hee hee! I am glad I brought back some great memories for you as well friend. I love doing gardening as a form of stress relief and therapy as I am my fathers caregiver. That takes it's toll on me all the time. So the gardening helps greatly. Good grief! Looks like you've got yourself a nice salad going on there. If it were me, I'd probably dice up most of the veggies and throw them on the grill with my chicken. Love that Foreman grilling machine. That thing has made my life so much easier. No pans to wash! Enjoy your feast.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Such a bountiful harvest! I love all those vegies especially the broccoli and are quite expensive here in our area. I would love to stir fry them too. It will really taste good because all the veggies are fresh. Happy Cooking! Take care always..God Bless!

Thanks. I've a few more sprigs picked today from the brocholli. I hate it as far as a plant though. It is hard to keep picking it before it turns yellow and flowers though. But I think I'll keeep it next year as we all love the fresh taste right from the plant rinsed off. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It looks like you have a real cornucopia there grandpa bob. I made bruschetta with my tomatoesand basil over the weekend. It was really good. Maybe you should make stewed tomatoes. Those would be really good. You could also make salsa. My brother in law made that one year it was good and yummy. I'm gonna plant my fall crop this weekend and plant some leaf lettuce and broccoli. We probably wont have a freeze here until mid to late October.

Stir-fry is great! Do you have a little sesame oil? That's really good on them. Hey, are early boy different from early girl tomatoes? I have early girl, just one poor stalk but I'll have at least 5 nice tomatoes in a couple of weeks, they're getting big and green now.

What a feast! I just picked another tomato and a few banana peppers and there are several more that will be ready in a day or two. The three larger tomato plants have a couple dozen tomatoes of varying sizes that are going strong.
