As simple as that, you have given excess work like typing.. too much of mylotting..may be you would have a lot of house hold of chores done.. Take care.

It sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome to me....I'm sure you know it comes from things like typing a lot or just repetitive movements of your hands. I had surgery for it years ago when I worked in a call center and constantly typing. You should have it checked out either way.

My father practices reflexology and i have seen before that he has a picture of the palm but I just don't have right now. However, I also remember that he doesn't like putting pressure or doing his reflexology thing on the palm because it is so 'direct' and may have some adverse results or reactions from the person's body.

Many reflexologist feel and have been taught that very hard pressure is necessary to unblock the energy, but I've found that a "tap and roll" method works very well and doesn't endanger the system or leave the client feeling bruised. When you're working on your own body, you know how much pressure you can stand, but when you work on someone else you don't know what they're feeling and can do damage.

Different reflexologist assign different areas in the palm. The chart here comes very close to what I've been taught by 3 different reflexologists. http://www.dorlingkindersley-uk.co.uk/static/cs/uk/11/features/reflexology/handchart.html The shooting pain in your thumb could be carpal tunnel, but if it doesn't go away by stretching your hand, then bending it back at the wrist, then stretching your arm out as far as you can and working around your shoulder to find a sore spot, chances are the pain near your palm could be something else. The good thing about reflexology is you don't have to know what the reflex point refers to. Just push on the sore spot and massage it until the pain goes away. What ever part of the body had a blockage will be unblocked by the massage.
