surprise surprise...i won $4!

as most of my friends know we went up in the mountain for a 2 days trip. today i check the only ptc site i have and i am surprised to see that the money becomes a lot.
i think all of us know that it is almost impossible to earn anything in a ptc site and i was skeptical at the beginning if what i am seeing is real or not.
i look that up for the 3rd time and there it is $6.02, i remember before we left it was only $2.02 (mind you that is the only amount i got for the month of july hehe)
so i checked my email and there it was, the admin of globalcashclick send its members the new winners of the site's sweepstakes.
i look it up and to my surprise my name is there and that i won $4, awesome!
i dont win anything in life, be it gamble or any form of sweeptakes or raffles . i just feel i am a big jinx of it.
the first time i won something was when i was working for the first time in shanghai and i won the main prize and it was a mind blowing coz the odd is very slim.
this is my second winning for almost 28 years.
pretty funny that i won the third prize.
i guess my luck lies on winning the higher ground LOL
i am just happy that i got something from that site.
it sums up my 4 months earning of the site LOL
anyway, to make this a discussion do you find it easy for you to win something in raffle draws?
what was the biggest prize you ever get?
are you a jinx like me haha?

it is really shocking when you don't expect to win in something like what you said. I remember also one time when I drop some packs of noodles in a drop box for raffle, but did not think about it because I know that chances are very slim in that raffle draw but I was lucky to get the consolation price which is an over toaster. That's not bad.. I am very glad to have that from just some packs of noodles? great!!! I know the feeling when you won something you don;t expect.

that is wonderful, even if its just a consolation prize still it counts im sure some other wish they win something even if its just a bag of the noodles - i know i will haha!
yeah it is overwhelming to win something you dont expect the great thing is when i won that first time (it was a portable heater) i was very much in need of a heater in my apartment coz i am living then in shanghai and the heater they have is way too outdated and it is not easy to buy the big one coz i need to have them installed it.
anyway, it was a good night after that coz i am sleeping like a baby haha.
anyway, i hope you win some more.
the feeling is worth the signing i guess LOL

Congratz for the winning, Jairgirl.
I reckoned, the chances of winning something in sweepstakes or raffles are extremely slim for me. At least I have never win anything through these method as yet, looking forward my luck in that sense some day ^o^.
When I recalled, just realized that whatever I've won in the past was not base on luck, they were all based on my efforts such as drawing or calligraphy contests where I've spent plenty of times practicing. There was just a small amount of cash vouchers and trophies I won because that was like during my primary school. lol..
Winning something free of charge? Not yet for me. The only time I won without any effort was the photo contest which was held in the shopping mall cosmetic department. My friend saw the contest and grabbed both of us the entry forms when we make payment at the cashier after picked up the items we intended to buy. We are eligible to participate as we've spent more than $150 each on that day for our skincare products.
Later, we sent in the photo with the entry forms together. One day, the stuff called to inform that I've won the consolation prize. I was very happy and couldn't believe I've won. I mean, even though it was just an eye shadow set but at least that was the first time I won without putting in any efforts, perhaps just the time for photo selection and writing the enty form. lol

Well, I guess cannot consider as good yet as that was just the primary/elementary school level and my primary school was relatively small, lol. Anyway, I agree that the no matter how much the prizes worth, it was the winning and the luck that we treasured.

first thanks for the friend invites, i appreciate it!
that's cool that you won something at the mall, i am not a fan of make-ups or any cosmetics at all so i wont bother signing up coz it will be a waste except of course if i have a friend who likes it then i can give it as a gift.
at least you guys got lucky to that one.
it sure is something when you win something, i guess it is not the value of the prize at all that matters but the happiness that it brings when they mention your name or number.
you must be very good in drawings and calligraphy to win prizes out of it. i wish i am the same coz i love art so much but unfortunately art doesnt like me at all, bummer!

im sure there are some other opportunities that will knock on your way and you will realized that you are one of the lucky ones.
my college teacher (my fave of all) always says that the measure of someone's talent is to compete with those who are on top - if you beat them then you are a definite winner.
i dont consider anything i do as a competition BUT rather a way to learn and have fun. so wether i win or not i enjoy it either way.
anyway, winning is not often everything except of course you win million dollars then it could be everything haha.

i feel the same way when it comes to playing the state lotto draws but my hubby says it is worth the try it's been almost 5 years now and still no luck.
i wish my luck goes to the big bucks LOL

thats great news!!nope havent won money on raffles on line but just points or something ..i really cant recall...yeah im a member of that site too..well i really can consider myself as a jinx since months ago..i guess it was feb this year i won the black out game in bingo offline of course.. although i seldom play one but my friend had given me some ticket ..

my husband and i play bingo in our apartment complex one time but we didnt win anything - oh well.

[i]I have tried buying tickets a lot before sometimes hoping to win and most of the time trying to help a friend to sold all the tickets but in my whole 31 years, I have just tried winning once!
It was the Christmas Party of the company and everyone of us was required to buy one ticket as a fund raising for some projects so, for like 1000 employees, I didn't expect that I will win the first prize which was $150! I can't believed when my number was called,,,LOL, I was speechless first..LOL! It's really great and after that, I have not tried anymore!
Anyway, congrats for that, I know the feeling..I am even happy for earning $2 here how much more winning $4 without any effort exerted! LOL! Enjoy and welcome back![/i]

hahaha, i have to laugh when you said i am no longer jinxed. i wish it is true and i can just have a next one to come but oh well.
i often tell to those who ask me to join raffles that it is not worth trying coz i never win anyway and i guess part of it is because i jinxed it when i said those words.
what do yah think?

Hello jairgirl,
Congratulations for winning a lottery game! Even though the price is small it is still a lucky break for you. I think I am not a very lucky person with regards to lottery or sweepstakes. If I am lucky, I am now a very rich person. 
Even though I am not very lucky, I do sometimes win in small party that I attend where there is a lottery. The last item I won a punch bowl set. It's cool! 
I hope someday I will win a big one with just one lottery ticket. Sweet!!!

thanks for the congratulatory remark LOL...
yeah i know it is not that much but fact is i won! it is something big already to me coz i really dont win in draws like that.
i wish it is the lottery in my state and not just a website like that - oh well who knows maybe one of these days we both win the lottery - keep me posted ok?
that is good that you win something, i only won one time and that is the first prize and my first time as well, i was 23 then but i can still remember the heights of that moment - really SWEET....
anyway, keep playing the lotto just dont go over board or you will end up spending the same amount you win.

i always consider myself unlucky when it comes to draws/raffles coz i never win and it is not worth the time.
it is funny that is the 2nd time i tried it just to remove my points and i am happy that it works.
i sent 7 ticket just for the laugh of lucky 7 and it sure works haha!
anyway, yes it is nice to have something extra. just sad that when you want to withdraw it, it ask for a fee - bummer!

i wish i can win something more than $100 like you do - i guess i need to work that luck if only i could LOL.
i hope when we go to vegas i can get something to scream for. i told my hubby he have to let me play the slot machine haha!
