Any die-hard Tool fans out there? For me, Tool is a band that has progressed thru it's 15 yr career as an human progresses thru life. After the "birth" and first few formative years, the first Ep released was like the loud, bratty toddler. Undertow, released in '94, takes them thru the dark, angry and moody teenager years. "Aenima" is the 20 something~learning of responsibility, life, and love and dreams lost. "Lateralus" brings us around to the stability, enlightenment and bits of wisdom that we have gained from our decades of experience. And finally, we have come to 2006's "10,000 Days", there is still some rebelliousness of youth, but this is tempered with the knowledge gained and the anchoring of the soul. Of course these are just the thoughts and opinions of a fan~an unashamed tool. Undertow will always be my first love, I didn't ABSOLUTELY LOVE every album as soon as they came out-I actually didn't come to know/like Aenima until around 2005. So, tell me Toolies, what do you think?

Love Tool! One of my "top fivers" for sure! I have loved Tool since the video for Sober first came out when I was just a child. My parents are into them as well so I was around them quite a bit growing up. I think I liked Aenima the best, mostly because of learn to swim. That song never ceases to move me. I am often quite fed up with humanity and this song speaks to me on a very basic level. I own all of the CDs you have listed in your OP and listen to them regularly. Always nice to meet another fan, keep listening to awesome music! =)

Love 'em! Great band. Love APC as well. They are so dark and morbidly inspirational(Tool I mean) I love their music vidz and stuff. The religion behinde Tool just pulls me into their music. Stinkfist, Sober,H, and Phobia are all my favorite, along with this one song with a title I simply can't say on here. It goes: "I got some advise for you lil' buddy...before you point the finger you should know that I'm the man!" That song. LOVE IT!
