Roth IRA Now or Later? - Currently 17

I'm currently 17, and I've been thinking of setting up an Roth IRA after I turn 18. I'm just curious about whether or not it's a good idea to start then or later. After all, I'd be able to put more money in later at more comfortable rates (since I'd have a steady job), whereas in the next four years I'd be at college, and unlikely to make any substantial income. Any suggestions or advice?
