The best shampoo...

My officemate informed me this morning that she had stopped using sunsilk because she heard from somebody that it contains formaldehyde, so now she is using head and shoulders. Then she advised me to try pantene pink. My officemate has long shiny hair, so I am tempted to follow her advice. What's your secret for smooth shiny hair?

You sound so down-to-earth. Some people have lovely hair that stays in place and is shiny even if they do nothing much about it. Others struggle and try everything but without success :(

Well, i don't think i've come across the perfect shampoo/conditioner but i can tell you what i like. I use an Origional Source one and a John freida one for blonde hair. I also like Lush shampoos & conditioners. I've not used the pantene pink one. Everyone has dfferent hair and different shampoos & conditioners will wrk differently so remember that.

Yes you are right. Different strokes for different folks, as they say. But in this case its so literal; I am almost sure your shampoo would not work well on my hair, and vice versa. One time my uncle, a seaman, brought home a bottle of hair conditioner from the US. It made my hair so limp I never used it again. My mother says its a matter of discovering what works best for me. Of course she's right (as always), and so are you.

I use different shampoos. I use a bottle of Sunsilk, then a bottle of Pantene, then a bottle of herbal essences, and then start the cycle over again. I mostly do this because I get bored with one kind if I use it all the time. My hair is shiney, but I have so many curls that is will never be smooth. LOL

That's just what I plan to do, change shampoos every now and then. My hair is a bit curly too. I used to look at those girls with long straight hair and sigh with envy. But I'll never be like that, so I'll just take good care of what I've got :)

i go with head and shoulders. the main cause is it is very helpful in keeping dandruff away,. the mundane job and the fast life pose a challenge to take care of the mane.

I think all shampoos have formaldehyde if not most of it.Why use?I got used to it--no other optionsI don't have regular shampoo,i use one brand for a week or two then change it to another brand--never used one shampoo for a long time...that's maybe my secret. My hair is not as perfect as the ones we see in commercial but i am happy with it.Try hot oil once or twice a week.No recommended shampoo, mine might not be good on your hair.Just keep on changing your shampoo every 2 weeks....only suggestion.Good luck!

Thanks, that makes two of you to vote for pantene. There must be something to it. I've never tried pantene before but I will give it a try now. And if I don't get smooth, shiny hair, I'll let you know LOL
