"one day, while I was in single digits, he suggested we play catch in front yard." In this sentence, what does "in single digits" mean? Thank you.

Hmm. Well "single digits" does ultimately mean a number on its own. So maybe the context of this sentence means that when this person was between the ages of 1 and 9 years old it was suggested to them that they play catch in the yard? This is how I see it anyways!
