Chronic Hyperventilation

I've researched and researched all over the web trying to figure out what kind of breathing problem I have. It comes and goes, and that is the reason why I was never able to get diagnosed by my doctor. I would have symptoms a few times a week, yet when I would go to my doctor's appointment I wouldn't be having any problems. Anyways, the problem I was having was with inhaling. the only way to kind of explain it is to say that it is the opposite of asthma. With asthma, one has problems exhaling. But my problem was with inhaling. It would get to the point that I was struggling to get a deep breath. And because of this struggle, my breathing would become very shallow. Another symptom was that I was constantly yawning, even when I wasn't tired. So I looked all over the internet and found this thing called Chronic Hyperventilation. What I found out about it was that it was caused by anxiety. After finding this out, I realized that I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks on an almost regular basis. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about a cure and I don't know if there is one. Maybe the way to fix this problem is to deal with the anxiety itself. I would love any input or advice that anyone could give.

if your problem is related to anxiety, i would like to request you to go for meditation. Scientifically it is being established that meditation lowers the activity of right prefrontal lobe (responsible for anxiety) significantly. So you give it a try. Also you may try a very simple hindu technique of getting rid of stress and anxiety. Sit comfortably, close your eyes and silently chant ' A..U..M..'pause and repeat. While doing so, count the number of times you are chanting without external assistant like finger counting. Try to visualise the numbers as you are slowly inhaling and chanting. You can do it anytime. Hope these two techniques will help you. i shall be highly obliged if you let me know whether you have got any benefits from these.
