Beijing or Shanghai,which city do you like more?

i'm a chinese.for i think,shanghai is much better than beijing,no matter in traffic,economy,education,weather and etc.rite,beijing olympic openning ceremony was held great.but i think,shanghai can do better. so,everyone,whats your opinion?

it's right, shanghai is the center of ecnomic and finance.but where can we find the political and culture center of china?the answer is beijing. what make chinese proud is our culture.and in political china is always so powerful.if the olympic ceremony held in shanghai what can we show to the world? economy?education?weather?it's not so well in developed country's eyes.but refering to the culture who can match our country.and don't forget beijing is the capital of china,so ,the ceremony must be hold in beijing.i major in managment, so i know the economy.and no matter how well shanghai developed, the capital of china will always be beijing.

:)first,thank u for your response.i agree with you for the culture of beijing requesting our motherland.Maybe the first i go went to beijing didnt leave me a good time.However,be a chinese,i'm proud of beijing holding the olympic games successfully

every city have it's role.and it decide the things they sould do.i like shanghai,for it proofed the way our country choose is right.and the weather is much good than beijing.

i wish i where born in China...i got attractd to it so much i dono y....i have not beein to both thse places but i wish2 go to both thse places & many others tooo....Evn in my blog i have used a template of China...if u wish u can chck tht frm my profile..

havent been to either but I would love to go to both. I guess I am learning more about Being due to the Olympics. I think the Chinese people have a very interesting cilivilization and culure.

As a chinese, i haven't been to either city. But through the 2008 Olympic Games, i prefer to Beijing. There are many famous places in Beijing, like Great Wall, the forbidden city, the summer palace and so on, which i plan to visit next year. And Shanghai is the most developed city in China(i think). With its development, its level of life is running up and the cost of normal life is increasing, which is the big burden of citizens.

ya,i so agree with you.but there are many greeat interests in shanghai,too.Such as,Yu garden,jingmao building and the international economic building which is just accomplished.well...welcome to shanghai.you wont be regret!

I think Beijing is much better than Shanghai.I have been to Shanghai many times,I think Shanghai is actually a modern international city but not very Chinese.Although Shanghai is now very developed,but it is lack of Chinese culture.
On the contrary,Beijing has a long history.It was the capital of Ming and Qing dynasty.Many traditonal Chinese features are preserved well now in Beijing.So,if you want to know more about China ,choose Beijing fisrt.
